Like the Golden Age that proceeded it or the Silver Age that followed it, these stories were insane, but not necessarily in a bad way. (Hell, I'd argue the Dark Age was insane, but everyone loves a certain mute assassin whose lack of language somehow made her a more effective killer? So, insanity is acceptable in this medium.)<br /><br />Another trait of the Interregnum: You had to be a certain degree of racist to be published. Maybe it was appealing to Southern audiences, but this was a big part of Tarzan's popularity. It's also why reviving the franchise is dumb. I actually can't think of a surviving equivalent. Ka-Zar?
