Is the gay ghost couple on Disney's "Ghost and Molly McGee" enough? With Vincent Rodriguez and Camilo d*ck

Link to the n*de dudes

I try to review all of the Disney Channel shows for LGBTQ representation, but I skipped over The Ghost and Molly McPhee (2021, 2023, 2024) because it was reminiscent of The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (1968-70),  about a middle-aged widow who falls in love with the ghost of a sea captain.  Who wants to watch a show about a ghost-human hetero-romance?

I didn't even realize that the actual title is The Ghost and Molly McGee

But it turns out that the ghost and Molly are just friends.  And there's a ghost gay couple.

The premise: when 13-year old Molly McGee moves into a haunted house, grumpy ghost Scratch (Dana Snyder) is assigned to haunt her, but he accidentally binds their souls together for all eternity.  After some initial fussing, they become best friends, and Scratch rebels against the ghost mandate to make human lives miserable, causing friction with the Ghost Council.

Researching this show is difficult, since the voice actors have extremely common names.  Google lists over 20 Dana Schneiders and Snyders: the senior vice president at a realty company, the senior talent acquisition partner at a university, a jeweler, a "producer and creative with a passion for visual storytelling," a rugby coach, a wife and mom, an opthamologist. I think this is the right one.

The plotlines involve both Other Realm and standard middle-school problems.  Molly has a best friend, a Mean Girl frenemy, a bratty little brother, and a boyfriend (Alan Lee), who happens to be an anti-ghost paranormal researcher.

Another extremely common name. Facebook lists over 50 Alan Lees, including a hospital president, a Cajun Zen Monk, a magician, the director of a choral music society, and a lot of "husband and fathers."  I think I put the right one on RG Beefcake and Boyfriends

More after the break.

The gay couple
: during the first season, we meet the ghost Geoff (Eric Edelstein), an annoying hanger-on who wants to be Scratch's buddy.  Eventually Scratch warms to him.

Left: Eric Edelstein, who is straight in real life, displayed a prosthetic d*ck on "Minx."  It was not impressive enough to post here.  Instead, I put n*de photos of  Camilo Calejas, another guy who pops up when you search for "Eric Edelstein," on RG Beefcake and Boyfriends

In Episode 2.6, Scratch is invited to both Geoff's dorky party and an impressive party thrown by the popular Jeff (Vincent Rodriguez III, top photo). Which should he go to?  He decides on Jeff's, but catches Geoff there!  Turns out that it is the same party, thrown by the two, who are "afterlife partners."  So why didn't they send out invitations together?

They dance together, and kiss.

Geoff and Jeff appear together in four more episodes, three presenting them as a couple.

In Episode 2.7, Ghost Chaser Ollie bursts into a ghost-human Halloween Party and blocks the portal so the ghosts can't escape.  Geoff and Jeff hug as they face their capture.  They are rescued, and Jeff threatens: "If you ever do anything to hurt my sweet Geoff again, I will end you."

In Episode 2.11, Jeff appears as the host of the ghost game show Squeal of Fortune, and Geoff as his assistant.  They hug during a crisis.

In Episode 2.13, Scratch needs to rebrand himself, so he asks the guys for advice on his new "Hard Rock Personality."  Geoff likes it, but Jeff thinks he has more of a "Soft Rock Personality."

In Episode 2.20, the series finale, the evil Jinx goes to war against the human world with an army of misery-causing ghosts.  The humans and ghost allies defeat them by singing about the ways that they f*k the Sadness, things that bring them joy: "Churros...my best bud...porpoises... Jeff...Geoff...coupons...my wife...friends."

Representation: They waited until Season 2 to out Jeff and Geoff, which is common in children's media, but annoying.  The two are presented as a couple in four of 41 episodes, or 10%.  And there are no LGBT humans. B-.

Bonus: Another n*de Camilo Calejas, whom Google thinks is Eric Edelstein.
