In It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Episode 18.1, Dennis, Dee, and Mac sit in on a psychology class at the University of Pennsylvania, to prove that they could have succeeded.  Meanwhile, Frank grabs a random student named Jie to fulfill his Back to School fantasy: take a dump in the dean's office (they're interrupted), pick up girls at a frat party (they're not impressed by the dance moves Frank teaches Jie), and jump off the high dive at the pool. Wearing a shirt, but a glimpse of his beneath-the-belt gifts in his swimsuit.

In Back to School (1986), crass comedian Rodney Dangerfield enrolls at his son Jason's college, and encourages him to do those things, including show a monumental bulge in his swim suit.  Jason (Keith Gordon, right) completes the high dive, but Jie does not.

The actor playing Jie is not in the cast list on the IMDB, and Google Ai doesn't know who he is, but Bloody Disgusting says that he is Sam Song Li.  Verified when the guy includes a Sunny clip on his Instagram.

Sam was born in 1996 in Shenzen, Guangdong Province, just north of Hong Kong, and raised in Southern California. He graduated with a degree in Performing Arts from UC Berkeley, and began on-screen acting in 2015.  He doesn't seem to have any major acting roles, so I'll just go by what he lists as "famous for":

A 2022 episode of Better Call Saul, with Bob Odenkirk as the sleazy attorney from Breaking Bad.  He plays Cary, a lawyer who joins Hamlin, Hamlin, and McGill after Chuck McGill's death.  His part in the episode seems to involve dropping cans of soda, and being taught how to avoid them exploding due to the carbon dioxide pressure.

A 2022 episode of Home Economics, about three siblings, rich straight male (Jimmy Tatro, n*de on RG Beefcake and Boyfriends), an entrepreneur; middle-class straight male (Topher Grace), a writer; and poor lesbian (Caitlyn McGee), a teacher.  In Sam's episode, the writer struggles to finish his book before his 40th birthday, while his siblings agonize over what gift to buy him.  Sam plays one of the students in his writing class.

A 2023 episode of Never Have I Ever, with an Indian-American girl negotiating crushes and her heritage. In "Never Have I Ever Been to Jersey," Devi takes a school field trip to New York, and meets Columbia University student Anton (Sam).  The plot synopsis doesn't mention if they do romantic stuff.

8 episodes of The Brothers Sun (2024).  Taiwanese gangster Charles Sun (Justin Chien) goes to Los Angeles to protect his mother and younger brother Bruce (Sam). It's classified as a comedy, but there's drug-dealing, kidnapping, and murder.  No girlfriendsd are mentioned in the plot synopsis.

When I was researching the beefcake on the British Ghosts tv series,  I found Yani Xander listed as Headless Humphrey: a Tudor nobleman who was accidentally beheaded, so as a ghost his head keeps falling off his body.  Except Humphrey's head is played by Laurence Rickard.  You never see the incredibly gorgeous Yani, because at 5'3", he is inside Humphrey's body. 

One of the hottest guys I've ever seen, and 5'3"?  Sign me up!

He was born in 1997 in Burgos, Bulgaria, a resort town on the Black Sea about 4 hours from Sofia, which gives me an excuse to dip into my photos of n*de Bulgarian guys.  

After graduating from secondary school, Yani moved to London to study at the City Academy ((2017) and Anthony Meindl's Actors Workshop (2018).  He started getting roles in short films, like A Different League (2017), Alice and Jack (2017), and Refugee Point (2018).

Hey You (2019), only about five minutes long, has gay interest:  Two guys (Noel Samuels, Dmitri Spodobaev, top photo) are arranging a hookup. Yani plays a third guy (I'm guessing a bottom).

In 2019, Yani starred a starring role in the Telugu series Erra Gulabhila Govindu.  He plays a cop.  Wait, Telugu, the Dravidian language spoken in South India?  What's Yani doing there?    What's he doing in southern India?  And learning Telugu?

Next came three episodes of Alex Rider (2020), featuring a teenage James Bond (Otto Farant), his goofy best friend (Brennock O'Connor), and the Girl of His Dreams.  Yani plays the son of a Russian baddie. 

And two episode of Dangerous (2020), a "bland and cliched" Bollywood crime series.  So you're still in India, but learning Hindi, not Telugu

And 21 episodes of Ghosts (2019-23).

Also Yani was the stand in for J.J. Dimeo, the Speechless guy (Micah Fowler) when the gang went to London, and a body double for Joshua McGuire (left) in Cheaters.  Yes, he showed his backside (on RG Beefcake and Boyfriends)

His most recent work is the British-Indian sci-fi movie IRaH (2024), a weird spelling because it's an app devoped by Hari Singh (Rohit Roy).  It falls into the wrong hands, and chaos ensues. Yani's character does not appear in the plot synopsis.

The Gay Artist for the Catholic Schoolboy Comic Book

A Treasure Chest of Fun and Fact was a Catholic comic book, published every two weeks during the school year from 1946 to 1972, meant to be given away at parochial schools.  Its main emphasis was religion and patriotism (since American Catholics in those days were often stereotyped as anti-American, in the pocket of the Pope).

But there were lots of humor and adventure stories, too -- sports, jungle adventures, pirates -- which made for some odd juxtapositions:

"Get to Know the Sacraments" oddly juxtaposed with "El Vaquero the Cowpunching Bear."

The history of the Canadian Mounted Police juxtaposed with "But Aunt Eileen, does modern life help to destroy true values?"

My favorite juxtaposition is from the November 19, 1959 issue.  "Tarcisius Protects the Holy of Holies," an adaption of the novel Fabiola by Cardinal Wiseman.  Tarcisius was a twelve-year old boy who was trying to save the Blessed Sacrament from desecration, when an irate crowd beat him to death.

How'd you like to read that over your Corn Flakes in the morning?

Next was a humorous story about ice hockey.

Many stories were drawn by Reed Crandall (1917-1982), a Golden Age comic book artist who also drew such superheroes as the Ray, Dollman, Blackhawk and Ka'anga Lord of the Jungle, and invented Firebrand, a muscleman in an invisible shirt.

Why invisible?  So you can perv on his pecs, duh!

He also drew E.C. Horror, the Flash Gordon comic strip, and a series of illustrations for Edgar Rice Burroughs' Tarzan books.

 His beautifully detailed drawings of muscular men inspired a generation of beefcake artists, including Frank Franzetta and Boris Vallejo.

After Crandall graduated from the Cleveland School of Art in 1939, he moved to New York with his mother and sister to seek work in the fledgling comic industry.  Eventually they moved back to Wichita, and Crandall lived by himself, a "confirmed bachelor," for many years.  He died in 1982.

I imagine that George A. Pflaum, the publisher of the Treasure Chest, never realized that one of his chief contributors was a gay man.

 Every morning I check the standard teen idol and celebrity websites for profile and tv review ideas.  Sometimes interesting photos pop up of guys who I've already profiled:

Jensen Gehring, who played a gay singer on Nickelodeon.

Polish femme boy Aleks Kurdzielewicz

  Ethan Wacker of Bizaardvark, who vanished into corporate but still posts many photos surrounded by hot guys.

Alfie Williams , who always surrounds himself with LGBTQ buds, at a ball game with Ryder Allen, who played a femme boy in Parker.

Previously he went to the Spider-Man movie with three probably-gay guys.  I figured that his date was Recker Eans, but could it have been Ryder?  

Sometimes the photo is of the wrong guy.  I wanted to profile Brett Pierce, who appeared in The Real O'Neals, Stuck in the Middle, and A Million Little Things.  The n*de dude on RG Beefcake and Boyfriends is another Brett Pierce.

Or he's not an actor at all.  Andrew Kusovchih (n*de on RG Beefcake and Boyfriends) appeared on AZMen, which is supposed to be about nude celebrities, but he's an influenceer with no acting roles.

Benjamin Ainsworth (left) was born  in  Nottingham in 2008, and later moved to Lund, near Hull in Yorkshire.  He scored his first professional acting job in 2016, in the musical Priscilla, Queen of the Desert on the Norwegian Epic Cruise Line, six weeks in the Mediterranean and then six more in the Caribbean.  He played Benjy, son of the drag queen Tick. who sings "Say a Little Prayer/Always on My Mind."  

The same year he was cast as "a cheeky schoolboy" in an episode of the soap Emmerdale.

His next major role was the troubled boy Miles in The Haunting of Bly Manor, loosely based on Henry James' The Turn of the Screw, with the two troubled children and ghosts bedeviling the nanny.  I stopped watching in the first episode after a particularly nasty trigger (hint: "does the dog die?"), but according to a review there's a lesbian romance "drowned in sad and tired tropes" like Bury Your Gays. Yuck.

On RG Beefcake and Boyfriends: n*de Oliver Jackson-Cohen as Peter Quint, who is possessing Miles and forcing him to do bad things.

In  the first season of The Sandman (2022), Roderick Burgess captures the Dream of the Endless and imprisons him in a glass jar.  His son Alex (Ben as a boy, Laurie Kyaston as a young adult) has many opportunities to free him, but refuses, worrying that Dream will harm him or his boyfreind (Christopher Colquehon).  

So far one gay and two gay-adjacent roles.  Good job, buddy. 

There have been dozens of movies based on Pinocchio, the 1883 novel by Carlo Colladi. The 2022 version, with Ben as the puppet boy, Tom Hanks as Gepetto, and Joseph Gordon Levitt (n*de on RG Beefcake and Boyfriends) as Jiminy Crickett, is supposedly a live-action remake of the classic 1940 animated movie, with a lot of queer codes.  But in some versions Pinoke gets a girlfriend, so I wouldn't be surprised if he is changed into a real boy through a glimpse of the Girl of His Dreams.  

The IMDB description of Son of a Critch (2022-26) tells us that "Mark is 11 going on 70," and "tries to make connections with the small group of people in his limited world."  Sounds like he's got that syndrome where you grow old as a child, or maybe he's aging backward, but it's a misdirection: Mark (Benji Boy) is just smart, and his "limited world" is Newfoundland in the 1980s.  He's heterosexual; no gay people are mentioned in the series.

Everything is Going to Be Great (2025) covers a year in the life of the Smart Family, as they negotiate "over-sized dreams, identity, ghosts, and regional theater."  Trigger alert: this is advertised as a comedy, but Dad (Bryan Cranston of Malcolm in the Middle) dies halfway through.  

He leaves two sons, the athletic Derrick (Jack Champion), who has a girlfriend, and Lester (Ben), who wears flashy outfits, aspires to a career in musical theater, and has conversations with the ghost of gay playwright Noel Coward. Those are sizeable queer codes.  Google AI says that he's "openly gay," but according to the plot synopsis, he gets a girlfriend.

Reacher Episode 4.1: Federal corruption, a gay-subtext sidekick, a lethal library, and The Girl. With Reach backside and Indonesian d*cks

  

Reacher, on Amazon Prime, stars the hunky gay ally Alan Ritchson as a drifter with a tragic past who helps the helpless, sort of like the Lone Ranger, but with more angst. There aren't any identified gay characters -- Amazon is not known for its inclusivity -- but I've found gay subtexts in several episodes, so I'm reviewing Episode 4.1 (2026).  At least Reach Boy will take his shirt off.

Scene 1: Reacher is on a subway, eating a cheese steak (so you know he's in Philadelphia). He cruises a mousy-looking middle-aged man. Into ratboys, Reacher?  No, he's using his Sherlock Holmes skills to figure out the home country, job, and psychological profile of the other passengers.  For instance, that woman crying and muttering to herself, her hands inside a blue purse: a suicide bomber!

He approaches and tries to talk her down, but she keeps crying and tells him to leave.  The train jolts, and she pulls out a gun.  Reacher thought it was a bomb. 

"I can help.  I was a cop before I became a drifter."

 "No one can help me now." She shoots!  Why do that on a subway?  

Scene 2: Reacher is interviewed by two detectives. The Bad Cop claims that they're going to arrest him for murder, but he realizes that they're just stalling.  Good Cop: "The feds are coming down from DC to ask you some questions, if you wouldn't mind sticking around."

"Ok, if you bring me a cheese steak."

Another problem; He saw four other passengers in the subway car, but they only found three.  What happened to Ratboy? 

While he's waiting, we meet the victim's brother Jacob, still in shock.

Scene 3: Three feds arrive. He surmises that they're the B-team, roused from their beds to interview the last person to speak to the dead woman.  They won't tell him their agency or their names, so he calls them Snap (Jason Diaz, top photo), Crackle (Michael Gaty, left), and Pop.  The mascots of Kellogg's Rice Krispies.  Is that still around?

They accuse Reacher of treason, and asked if he received anything from the victim. Nope.  

"Are you sure you didn't receive something, and hide it, planning to come back later?"

Nope.  "What are you so concerned about/"

They won't say, so he leaves.

But he's not done.  Two more guys get out of their car, speaking Indonesian (Armando Alera, n*de on RG Beefcake and Boyfriends, and Joe Labelle).  They ask  if she gave him anything. 

"No."

"Did you give the flash drive to the police?"  Didn't you hear what he just said?

They attack, so he clobbers them and walks away.

Scene 4: Jacob (Chris Marquette), the victim's brother, is in the coffee shop across the street. Reacher approaches him. 

"My adopted sister couldn't have done that, because she was a happy person.  She loved her job (Human Resources at an Army base), she loved her son (football star at Temple). Everything was perfect."  Hint: the important part is "adopted."

Reach asks if she had any enemies?  No -- the father of her son left when she got pregnant, then died in a car crash.  "I helped raise Ben."

You don't mention a wife and kids, Jake Baby.  For a 40-year old man, that's a clear queer code.

Son Ben doesn't know about his mother yet, since Jacob can't get ahold of him.  He's not answering his phone.  Well, it's only about 6:00 am.  He's probably still asleep.

Ben, played by Denis Wong (the one wearing clothes),  will appear in Episodes 2-4.  Looks like an ongoing story arc this season.

While they talk, the background song is "Morning, Noon, and Night," by Joe Turner:

Sit down baby, let's have a little drink
Love you, pretty baby, morning, noon, and night.

Come on, Reach, the guy just lost his sister.  This is not the right time to ask him out.

The Indonesians are back, so Reacher buys the flash drive of a coffee shop patron.  "You wait here and try to get in touch with your nephew.  I'll be back in 90 minutes.

Josh Henderson plays bad boys, gets tied up, but is too small or fundamentalist for n*de photos. With Vartan and Hutcherson to make up for it

  

I don't know what to think about Josh Henderson's whitebread name, generic handsomeness, and mildly muscular physique.  You can feel the privilege radiating out from his self-assured high-school jock smirk.  I don't know if I want to kiss him or slap him.

According to his IMDB biography, Josh was born in...ugh...Texas, and grew up in Oklahoma.

His career started shortly after he graduated from Tulsa Memorial High School in 2000, on the talent show Popstars. This gained him a record contract, but the company went bankrupt before his record could be released.

So it was on to guest spots on Maybe Its Me and Do Over, and a starring role in the second season of  One on One (2002-03): A a sportscaster named Flex overprotects his teenage daughter, and disapproves of her relationship with the son of his hated rival.  Guess who plays the son.

Leeches (2003) is one of David DeCoteau's "gay people don't exist, but here are some guys hugging in their underwear" movies.  (They also get tied up and attacked by leeches.)

Josh's next major role was in Season 3 of Desperate Housewives (2006-07).  He played Austin McCann, the bad boy nephew of Edie Britt. He moves in with his fun-loving aunt and starts a relationship with the girl-next-door Julie, but an affair with a neighbor leads to a breakup, and he leaves Wisteria Lane forever. But Julie isn't exactly chaste: she goes on to have an affair with a married man, and gets (censored) after a  hookup with a friend (Charlie Carver, n*de on RG Beefcake and Boyfriends).

In Step Up (2006), Channing Tatum (n*de on RG Beefcake and Boyfriends) plays a juvenile delinquent who becomes a dancer and meets The Girl, but she still has feelings for her ex-boyfriend. Guess who.

Here the Whole Time: Brazilian "Heartstopper," with chub Felipe and athletic Caio trying to figure it out. Plus a hunky bully and dad

Quinze Dias (15 Days), or Here the Whole Time in English, is the Brazilian answer to Heartstopper.  The guys even met Kit and Joe when they visited London for the premier of Heartstopper Forever.

Chubby femme boy Felipe (Miguel Lallo) hasn't been in his apartment building's pool since he was bullied as a kid.  He's still being bullied by the same four guys, on the street and in class, so he's looking forward to a 15-day holiday, where he can stay in his room and imagine himself as the heroine in old movies.

Nope, not gonna happen. The next door neighbors are going out of town, so their son Caio (Diego Lira) must stay with Felipe and his mum.  They are homophobic -- "Miguel doesn't even try to hide it!" -- but there's no other option.

This is the worst!  Miguel tells his therapist that they used to be friends, until he stopped going to the pool.  Caio grew up to be...ugh...straight, and athletic.  He hangs out with jocks, plays soccer, and knows nothing about movie musicals.  How can he stand sharing his apartment with someone so crass for 15 whole days?

After an incident involving paint in the pool, Caio defends Miguel from the bullies (including João Pedro Chaseliov, top photo). At the community center, he is ok with taking dancing lessons -- and dancing with Caio.  He's even ok with watching a movie musical.

Maybe they could be friends after all.

When Caio invites him to a movie with his friend Beca -- "You'll love her!" -- Miguel imagines a wafer-thin supermodel girlfriend.  Surprise -- she's chubby, and a lesbian!  

Big reveal: Caio is gay!  "You didn't know?  Everybody knows."

"He can't be gay!" Miguel exclaims. "He's masculine!  He plays soccer!  He doesn't know who Lady Gaga is."

The therapist asks if Miguel is going to treat Caio differently, now that he knows that he's gay. 

"No...but...things are going to be awkward now."  Because athletic, masculine guys don't fall for chubby femme boys.  Miguel stalks Caio's social media, and finds that he has "liked" 30 boys, all of them athletic and masculine.

After another bully-rescue, the guys have a rooftop heart-to-heart.  Caio reveals that he not out to his parents because they're homophobic.  He wants to run away, find a gay mecca somewhere, maybe in São Paulo, but Miguel advises that you can't run away from your problems.

First kiss (actually second, third, and fourth kisses).

"Lost Boys": Music video by Phoebe Bridgers, with Skyler Gisondo escaping to Middle Earth, or not, plus some not fully clothed dudes

  The censors are becoming extremely picky lately.  There was nothing inappropriate for a five-year old in the previous version, but they still slapped a "sensitive content" thing on it. I wouldn't mind, except they yell at you for it every time you go to the edit page.

I'm not happy with the Gemstone guys since the show ended in 2025.  Both Adam Devine (Kelvin) and Tony Cavalero (Keefe) were married to women, but they played a lot of gay-subtext roles, and in their social media, they minimized their hetero interests, even pretending to be into guys.  

When the show ended, it suddenly became wife and kids, marriage and family, all through their social media, and their productions are entirely gay-free, even gay-subtext free.

Gavin Munn filled his social media with buddies and grown-up beefcake guys, until the Gemstones ended.  Then it was "I'm not doing this anymore, I'm taking a girl to junior prom, and i'm joining the homophobic Port City Community Church!"

Skyler Gisondo is the worst of the lot.  His social media was full of gay buddy-bonds, with girls rarely if ever mentioned -- until the show ended.  Then it was "Here's my girlfriend!  Have you met my girlfriend?  I have a girlfriend!"  And his Superman (2025) involved blatant, slap-in-the-face queerbaiting: "I'm going to pretend I'm gay for two hours, then pull the rug out from under you in the last scene, har har!"

Skyler's latest work is in the music video "Lost Boys" (2026), by Phoebe Bridgers, an American singer/songwriter who has won four Grammies for her "melancholy" songs with complex lyrics mirroring personal issues.

 Phoebe is bi and an advocate for LGBTQ rights, and "Lost Boys" has a strong gay connotation: the boys are "lost" beause they have rejected the heteros*xist trajectory into job, house, wife, and kids in favor of the infinite joy of the world of men.

We stop the fight right now, we got to be who we are.

So doubtless the song is about that joy.

Scene 1: Phoebe, dressed as the Elf Galadriel from The Lord of the Rings,, drives with her knight on a motorcycle to a LARP battle in an auto graveyard.  The players are dressed as Medieval warriors. But it's a real battle, with people hurting each other.

The first stanza seems to be about joining the army, "Where they make you remove your hair/ Impatient with a rifle and your papers." 

Scene 2: They have dinner in a Japanese restaurant, looking not entirely happy.

I don't usually profile the European actors who appear on the n*de celebrity subreddit: if their work is not available for me to stream, how can I check for gay content?  But Felix Beauperin is so cute, and is so impressive beneath the belt, that I'm going in anyway.

The n*de scene is from Le banquet d'Auteuil, performed at the Theatre 14 in Paris in 2015, and released on video in 2016: Famous playwright Molière (Jean-Baptiste Marcenac), tiring of his wife cheating on him, invites protégé Michel (Felix) and his friend Chapelle (Hervé Lassïnce) to dinner at his country home in the village of Auteuil (now in the 16th arrondissement, near the Eiffel Tower).  Some men from his acting troupe shows up to mock his bourgeouis jealousy.  While not fully clothed.

In the clip I watched, Michel orders two of the actors to kiss.

Background note: Molière is more famous in France than in Britain and the U.S., but you may have seen his Tartuffe, The Misanthrope, or The Imaginary Invalid.

Felix is primarily a theatrical actor.  His most recent productions include:

En Thérapie, an adaption of the Israeli tv series BeTipul, about a psychologist whose life is falling apart.  He plays Thomas Castellane, a surly patient. 

This guy looks nothing like the n*de dude above, but Felix posts him on his Instagram, so...

Le Petit Coiffeur:  Lies, secrets, and forgiveness in a hair salon in Chartres, 1944 -- just after the Liberation, when Allied forces defeated the Nazis in France.  Felix plays Pierre, a young hairdresser.  In an interview, he talks about his character's love for his mother and brother, but doesn't mention being gay.

Potiche, about chaos in the Pujol family when Mom Suzanne has to take over as head of the umbrella factory.  Felix plays her son Laurent, a fey art student with an absent fiancée (nudge, nudge, wink, wink).

Life is a Dream, by Pedro Calderon de la Barca. Prince Sigismond of Poland (Felix)  has been imprisoned in a tower by his father.  He briefly escapes, but Dad re-captures him and convinces him that it was all a dream.
