"Don't Trust the B__ in Apartment 23": The top 12 guys that the New York roommates and their gay friend hook up with

Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23 premiered in April 2012, oddly following the family-friendly Modern Family.  After 7 episodes, it was renewed for a second season, but episodes were shown out of sequence, leaving viewers confused.  In January 2013, it was abruptly cancelled, leaving 8 episodes of 26 unaired.  But now you can see the whole series on Netflix (unfortunately, still not in the right order).

It's a buddy comedy about June, a wholesome, idealistic girl from hayseed-stereotyped Indiana, who moves to New York and finds herself sharing an apartment with the fun, glamorous, and utterly amoral Chloe, who makes her living through scams and frauds (but this is sitcom New York, so even the evil are rather nice).

Through a constant stream of mishaps, crises, and long-cons, Innocent June learns to be more spontaneous, and Amoral Chloe develops a conscience, of sorts.

There's some gay representation in screaming-queen Luther (Ray Ford), James' assistant, and a constrant stream of beefcake: around 20 muscle hunks in 24 episodes. Here are the top contenders:

1. The girls' partner-in-hijinks is James Van Der Beek of Dawson's Creek, playing "himself" as obsessed with his dwindling fanbase and trying to make a comeback on Dancing with the Stars. Of gay interest: he is remarkably well hung.  According to Chloe, anyhow.

2. Eric Andre as Mark, the manager of the coffee shop where Innocent June works, He has a gay-subtext vibe with James.

3. Michael Blaiklock as Eli, the "pervert" across the street, who openly spies on the girls through the window and offers friendly advice.

4. Michael Landes as Scott, Amoral Chloe's father.  She sets Innocent June up with him, without mentioning that parental thing.  The dick pic must be an early photo, or another Michael Landes.

5. Ben Lawson as Benjamin, an Australian director who becomes part of Amoral Chloe's Halloween prank: she always makes someone's worst fear's come true.

But Amoral Chloe doesn't realize that Ben is making her worst fear come truepranking her, too: the fear that she will genuinely care for someone.

6. Hartley Sawyer as Charles, a dumb guy with amazing abs who Innocent June hooks up with to demonstrate that she's not a prude.  Unfortunately, she is then conned into becoming his girlfriend.

More after the break

7. Ryan Windish as Beckett Everett, the owner of a shop where Chloe gets a job to enact her latest scam.

8. Pryom Haider as Luther's new boyfriend.  Ok, he's only on screen for like 23 seconds, but can you think of a better way of spending 23 seconds?  Other than having him actually in the room with you, that is.

9. Jason Olive as Hot Trey, the guy Amoral Chloe has sex with while she's drunk.  When she sobers up, she's not into him, but she decides to date him anyway, because he's rich.

10. Davi Santos as Anthony, who Amoral Chloe has sex with, then discovers that he's a teenager  (the actor himself was 26 at the time). Ordinarily this would not be a problem, but she's trying to kick her habit of falling for inappropriate guys, and tries to dump him. But he's so darn hot....

11. Alexander Aquino as one of a string of hot guys that Chloe sets Innocent Jane up with. She finds something wrong with each of them, due to her fear of emotional intimacy.

I think she's a little too picky.

12. Johnny Cruz as...well, who cares?
