I was interested in profiling Lias Karp because of his unusual name (maybe short for Elias?), and because he's built. Looks like a boxer. He'd better have some acting experience, too.
His Instagram says that he is a model/actor/athlete, into "fashion, sports, motivation, and life by the sea." 47,000 followers. Dude is busy.
No, he takes it off.
While I'm scrolling through the endless shirtless photos and reels on his Instagram and Facebook pages, I might as well check to see if Lias is gay.
But I don't think a lot of straight boys are into fashion.
More after the break
Lias is not listed on the IMDB, but it often misses European productions, so I checked his talent agency:
He was born in Bühl, Baden-Württemberg, near Stuttgart, a few km from the French border. TripAdvisor says that the best things to do in the area are: ski the Unterstmatt, train at the Taekwando Olymp, and visit the ruins of the Alt-Windick Castle. But there are so many castles in Germany, you might want to skip it to avoid sightseeing fatigue.
Lias speaks German, English, Russian, and his native dialect, Badish, a form of Alemannic similar to Swiss German. It has the reputation of being laid back and easy-going, like a Southern drawl in American English.
He trained with Starmoviekids and with the actor/coach Alexander Kreuzer, best known for the soap operas Verbotene Liebe ("Forbidden Lives") and Herzogpark (set in the Herzogpark neighborhood of Munich).
Left: A gay couple from Verbotenes Liebe.
I'm covering the background in detail because Lias has a very short acting oeuvre:
A commercial for Europapark, an amusement park in Rust (near Buhl).
A commercial for Xmas Wunschprogram, where kids can curate and broadcast their own videos on the German Disney Channel at Christmastime.
The documentary Trust Your Wild Side, where he is interviewed about his kickboxing.
And the upcoming short film Homecoming. According to the behind the scenes photos, it involves Lias and fellow Star Movie Kid Marlon Barth playing soccer and hugging.
Two commercials, an interview, and a short film? I expected more from someone who states that he is an model/ actor/athlete.
I should have done Marlon Barth instead. He has more acting credits, including Herzogpark, the mystery film Camp Postmichael, and a Jewish-Muslim forbidden-friendship episode of Völlig meschugge?("Totally crazy" in Yiddish).
Plus he was invited to the premiere of Die Drei ????Toteninsel ("Death Island"), where he met his crush, Nevio Wendt.
And he has gay friends, like Leon Klein.
