I don't want to see Devil in Disguse: John Wayne Gacy (2025). Too disturbing. I "figured it out" in May 1978, just after graduating from high school, and came out into a world where Jerry Falwell and Anita Bryant were screaming that gay men were evil monsters bent on destroying society. Then, in December 1978, Gacy was arrested for the murders of over 30 boys and young men. "See!" they yelled. "This proves that all gay men are pedophiles and serial killers!" Not a great time to be coming out.

But I'll take a look at the backside (or in this case the front) of chunk Michael Chernuss, who plays Gacy.

Augustus Prew, who plays Jeffrey Rignall, one of the victims who was assaulted but not killed.

And Steven Andrews as Dead Male Body #2. Wait -- is he a victim? He looks a little too old.

I checked Steven on the IMDB. Only five acting credits, but over 100 photos and a very long biography about growing up in a tough neighborhood in western San Antonio, winning Golden Gloves boxing awards, becoming a professional wrestler.

His acting credits include a 2024 episode of Real Stories with Christ: "Pastor Joe starts a Bible study in his neighborhood." Other episodes appear more exciting, as Pastor Joe has run-ins with gangs, drug dealers, human traffickers, unwed mothers, and a woman who thinks God wants her to kill him. Steve's character appears in a Biblical costume, but he's got a modern name, Don. I dodn't know why.

My Rocking Chair (2024): After the deaths of his parents (first rule of fiction), a mentally ill young man wants his rocking chair back. He's played by Steve as an adult and "Jesus is King" Brad Kruithof as a teenager. (Don't get excited, they're just praying.)

The Legend of the Donkey Lady (2024), based on a real San Antonio urban myth about a lady who haunts a bridge. Here she's haunting the new city park. Steve plays Ranger Drew.
